About Signs & Stripes

Signs & Stripes (UK) originally started out as a company called Uni-stripes,
which for 15 years was a mobile service mainly dealing with the car trade, fitting
all types of stripes. We would turn up on site and be told which cars needed
brightening up and get on with it.Some of the vehicles would have dents or scratches on them which would take some creative designs to hide them. As time went on we were asked to design and fit special edition stripes/decals. We were also fitting self-adhesive protection mouldings and chrome wheel arch mouldings, as well as glass sun roofs, chrome roof racks, vinyl roofs and alarms. At the same time as computers in signwriting and graphics became more common, the car trade were spending less on doing up their cars. We'd had the idea of opening a shop for a few years - a shop where people could bring their pride and joy and feel safe leaving it there - so it was a natural progression to try it out. The shop was called Signs & Stripes (UK). Since opening 8 years ago we have worked on hundreds of vehicles and signs for shops, councils, and many blue chip companies. Our range has now expanded to include signs, banners, magnetic signs, safety signs, window signage, site boards, window tinting, company logos, cartoon graphics etc. We are now registered with the DVLA to make number plates, but we can still make show plates to customers' spec. From model aeroplanes graphics to signage for truck racing teams, to list all our work would take up too much space. Our T-shirt press is always busy, specialising in 1 offs to short runs. Once we have the customer's logo on computer we can print it onto T-shirts or work-wear, which is a nice way to finish the customer's job - especially a new business. Recently we have also been printing club flags, a couple of which went to the World Cup. We try to be as helpful as possible (but you can't please everyone) so give us a call whatever you want.
